Application of case against Sheikh Hasina-Rehana-Joy and Putu
A case has been filed against 21 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, son Sajib Wazed Joy, daughter Saima Wazed Putul, on the charge of shooting dead fruit seller Farid Sheikh at the toll plaza of Hanif flyover in Jatrabari of the capital. The court said that after taking the statement of the father of the deceased Farid Sheikh, Sultan Miah, he would pass the order.
On Tuesday (August 20), the case was filed in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Islam's court.According to the complaint of the case, on August 4, during the violent movement of students and people demanding the resignation of Sheikh Hasina, at 3:30 in the afternoon, Farid Sheikh Jatrabari flyover toll plaza on the south side of the road, while going to his fruit shop, was fatally injured by the police during the mass killing on the orders of Sheikh Hasina. Fell on the road.People around risked their lives and took Farid Sheikh to Mugda Medical College Hospital for treatment. The bullet hit the right side of Farid Sheikh's stomach and exited through the left side. While undergoing treatment there, Farid Sheikh died at 11:45 am on August 6 at Mugda Hospital.The other defendants in the case are - former road transport and bridge minister Obaidul Quader, former interior minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former foreign minister Md. Hasan Mahmud, former Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, former Minister of Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel, former Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Tapos, former Inspector General of Police Abdullah Al Mamun, DIG Dhaka Range Syed Nurul Islam,Former DB Chief Harun-or-Rashid, Additional Joint Commissioner Dhaka Metropolitan Police Biplab Kumar, Former Commissioner DMP Habibur Rahman, Jasder Hasanul Haque (INU), Rashed Khan Menon, 14 Team Coordinator Amir Hossain Amu, Bangladesh Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain, Former Minister of State for Information Mohammad A. Arafat, Jatrabari Police Officer-in-Charge Abul Hasan and 250 unidentified people.
